How to set up alerts for disconnected dashcams

    Introduction:

    The Dashcam Disconnects alert feature allows you to view and add notes to disconnected Dashcams in your Fleet Dashboard. You can also set up email alerts that notify you when the Dashcam gets disconnected, empowering you to help drivers reconnect, stay compliant, and prevent issues down the road. In this article, you will learn how to set up alerts for Dashcams that have been disconnected.

     

    Steps: Setting up alerts for disconnected vehicle gateways

    1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click on the Admin icon.

    2. Select Alerts from the PLATFORM dropdown in the left-hand side menu.

    3. Click on the + Create Alert button in the top right corner.

    4. Name your alert and select Dashcam Disconnect from the alert type drop-down menu.

    5. Select Entities from the dropdown, and choose if you want to be alerted when the Primary or both Primary and secondary power sources are disconnected.

    6. Choose the alert's time frequency and select the trigger range between All Times, Weekdays, and Weekends, or a Custom range.

    7. Click Save when done to finish.
