    How to enable/disable Mobile-based card unlock for Motive Cards assigned to vehicles

    Introduction

    In areas with poor internet connectivity, Drivers may struggle to use the mobile-based unlock feature for Motive Cards assigned to vehicles. Fleet Managers previously could not disable this mobile unlock feature for specific vehicle cards.

     

    Steps: Enabling/disabling Mobile-based card unlock for Motive Cards assigned to vehicles

     

    Enabling the Mobile-based card unlock

    Note: This setting is not available to all fleets by default. It requires approval from a CSM. To activate it, please contact your CSM. Once activated, you can disable the setting in Edit security settings.

    If the Mobile-based unlock setting is disabled at the company level, Fleet Managers can’t enable it at the card level. It must first be enabled at the company level by the CSM. 

     

     

    Disabling the Mobile-based card unlock

    After the CSM gets the required approvals and enables the setting for the fleet, Fleet Managers can disable or edit security settings for individual vehicle cards. They can also bulk edit the security setting on multiple cards using these steps:

     

    For a single vehicle card

    1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click the Admin icon.

    1. Select Cards from the Products dropdown.
    2. Click Card Management.
    3. Select any vehicle card from the list and click the three dots next to the card.

    1. Select Edit security settings from the dropdown.

    1. In the Edit security settings screen, uncheck Require mobile-based unlock for selected cards to disable the feature for that card.

     

    For bulk vehicle cards

    1. Follow the steps 1 through 3 from for a single vehicle card section.
    2. Select multiple vehicle cards from the list.
    3. Click the three dots at the top of the screen.
    4. Select Edit security settings to bulk edit the security settings.

    1. In the Edit security settings screen, the selected cards list is shown.

    1. Uncheck Require mobile-based unlock for selected cards to disable the feature for all selected cards.
