Introduction
Motive has added a Driver Capture button to the Driving Lock Screen in the Motive Driver App, allowing Drivers to capture video events directly from their mobile devices. This feature is ideal for vehicles where the physical Dashcam button is challenging to access, ensuring Drivers can easily initiate video captures.

What’s new?
- The Driver Capture button on the Motive Driver App provides the same video capture functionality as the physical Dashcam button. When the requirements outlined below are met, a camera icon appears at the bottom of the Driving Lock Screen, enabling quick video event recording from the Driver’s mobile device.

Requirements:
- Bluetooth Connection: The driver’s mobile device must be connected to a Vehicle Gateway.
- Firmware Version: The Vehicle Gateway should be running firmware version 97 or higher.
- AI Dashcam Connection: An AI Dashcam must be connected to the Vehicle Gateway.
