Using Conditional Logic in Documents

Audience Fleet Managers, Fleet Admins
Applies To Fleet Dashboard > Documents

Introduction

Conditional logic allows Fleet Admins and Fleet Managers to create dynamic and interactive document templates that adapt based on user input. This feature allows you to customize the document experience for Drivers and fleet users by showing or hiding questions or fields based on an answer. This gives you more relevant information and saves time while completing documents.

Note: Conditional logic is only available when using Multi-page templates with the single-select page element.

Conditional logic directs the fleet users to a different page based on their answer to a single-select question. There is an interactive preview of the Driver App experience in the template builder, including conditional logic.

Steps: Creating a Template with Conditional Logic

1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Documents.

2. Click New template.

5. Select Single Select as the question type.

6. Click the Conditional logic toggle to enable the conditional logic.

7. Define conditions and add pages/page elements to create the destination that a fleet is sent to based on how the questions are answered.

Note: The Driver’s answers to the questions with enabled conditions direct the Driver's next questions.

Note: This new Multi-Page template type supports all current document flows including editing the template once created, filling out a form, and editing an already filled-out form.

Single-page documents allow 5 attachments. Multi-page documents can include up to three attachment page elements. Each of these elements can contain two attachments, allowing for a maximum of six attachments in total.
