Motive’s maintenance scheduling tools automate service intervals for your fleet, reducing manual effort and minimizing downtime.

  • Automate service intervals: Set recurring maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles receive timely upkeep without requiring extra manual tracking.
  • Flexible reminder settings: Choose to set reminders based on time, mileage, or engine hours to align with your fleet's specific needs.

Managing schedules

To create a maintenance schedule:

  1. In the Fleet Dashboard, go to Maintenance.
  2. Select Schedules

  4. Name your schedule and select the vehicles or groups it will apply to.

To set service triggers:

  1. Choose the trigger type: by time (e.g., every 6 months), mileage (e.g., every 10,000 miles), or engine hours.
  2. Enter the interval and starting point for each trigger.

To assign maintenance tasks:

  1. Specify the service type (e.g., oil change, inspection).
  2. Assign responsible users or teams for each task.

To enable automated reminders:

  1. Turn on notifications to alert drivers and managers before service is due.
  2. Select your preferred notification methods: email, SMS, or dashboard alerts.

To track service needs:

  1. View upcoming, overdue, or completed maintenance in the Upcoming Services tab.
  2. Update service records as work is completed.
