- Choose one or more of the following filters:

Tapping a safety event opens a detailed view where you can see what happened and decide what to do next.
Event details
- Event media: Watch dashcam video or view images from both the road-facing and driver-facing cameras.
- Event details: See the time and date, driver and vehicle involved, and telematics data like speed and event duration.
Event actions
- Add a note: Tap to leave a note for your records or to share with other team members.
- Mark as coachable: If the event needs a follow-up, mark it as coachable. This sends the event to the driver’s coaching queue, where you can track it in the Motive Dashboard.
FAQs
How is the fleet Safety Score calculated?
The Safety Score is based on how often safety events happen for every 1,000 miles driven over the past 4 weeks. Each behavior has a score weight that can be customized by a fleet admin. Dismissed events do not affect the score.
Can I view dashcam videos for every safety event in the app?
You can usually view videos or images for most events. In some cases, video may not be available due to your settings, the type of event, or if driver privacy mode is turned on. When video is unavailable, images are often shown instead.
What does it mean to mark an event as coachable?
Marking an event as coachable means it should be followed up with a conversation between the driver and a manager. This helps track which events need coaching and connects to the coaching workflow in the Motive Dashboard.
Can drivers see their own safety events in their app?
Yes. If this setting is enabled by a fleet admin, drivers can view their Safety Score and see coachable events in the Motive Driver App.
How do I filter for the most critical events?
In the event list, use the Severity filter and select Critical or High to focus on the most serious events first.
