Introduction
Motive is introducing contextual insights for Idling Events, helping fleets understand when idling is necessary and when it is wasteful by adding temperature, location, and cost visibility directly into the Fuel Hub on the Fleet Dashboard.
What’s New?
- Ambient Temperature for Every Idling Event: Displays the average temperature recorded by the Vehicle Gateway during the event so fleets can distinguish weather-dependent idling from unnecessary idling. Events without temperature data show NA.
- Geofence-based Location Context: Shows which geofence the idling occurred in (within 1 km), helping users understand whether idling happened at customer sites, terminals, and yards.
- New Filters for Analysis: Adds more context to the idling events using the following filters.
- Temperature Ranges: Filter events by specific temperature bands.
- Idling Duration: Filter events by total idling time, selectable across multiple ranges.
- Geofences: Filter events by one or more geofenced locations.
