Request Billing Documents from Motive

You can access some billing documents directly in the Fleet Dashboard and request others through Motive Support. This article explains which billing documents are available, how to access them, and what information to include when requesting a document from Support.

Billing documents you can access in the Fleet Dashboard

If your account has access to the Billing tab, Fleet Admins can view and download invoices directly from the Fleet Dashboard.

To access invoices:

  1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard.
  2. Go to Admin > Billing.
  3. Open Invoices.
  4. Select the invoice you want to review.
  5. Select Download to save a PDF copy.
Note: The Billing tab is available for SMB and upper-SMB fleets. It is not available for mid-market and enterprise fleets.

Billing documents you can request from Support

You can contact Motive Support to request billing-related documents for accounting, audits, or internal records.

Support can help with requests such as:

  • Proof of purchase or order receipt
  • Payment report or payment history
  • Tax exemption requests
  • Subscription agreement
  • W-9 form

How to request a billing document

If you cannot access the document you need from the Fleet Dashboard, contact Motive Support and include the details below so your request can be reviewed faster:

  • Your company name
  • The email address associated with the account
  • The invoice number, if applicable
  • The document you need
  • The reason for the request, such as accounting, audit, or tax review

If you are requesting a tax exemption update, include your tax exemption certificate when contacting Support.

What to know before you contact Support

Keep the following in mind:

  • Invoices are available in the Billing tab only for eligible accounts.
  • Billing documents may only be shared with authorized billing contacts or Fleet Admins.
  • Some requests may require account verification before Support can share billing documents.
  • If your billing is managed outside the Billing tab, Support can help confirm the next step.

Can I request a proof of purchase from Motive?

What if I do not see the Billing tab?

The Billing tab is only available to eligible accounts and Fleet Admin users. If you do not see it, contact your Fleet Admin or Motive Support for help.
