Introduction
Starting October 19, 2026, your fleet’s WiFi hotspot data allowance resets on your Motive subscription billing date, the same day you receive your invoice, instead of on a fixed schedule that was the same for every fleet.
What’s new?
- Data resets on your billing date: Your WIFI Hotspot data cycle now runs from your billing date to the day before your next billing date.
- One-time transition period: Your current data cycle ends on October 18. A transition period with your full standard data allowance then runs until the day before your billing date, at no charge.
How does this help fleets?
- One date to track: Your invoice and your data reset on the same day.
- No change in cost: Your data allowance and pricing stay the same.
How to access this feature
No action is needed. To view your data cycle, go to Analytics > Reports > Vehicles > WiFi Usage Summary in the Fleet Dashboard.

- Launch date: October 19, 2026
- Availability: All regions
Important notes
- Your data allowance, pricing and invoice amount don’t change.
- Per-vehicle limits and hotspot settings carry over.
- Your reset date is based on your subscription date
- If your billing date is the 19th, nothing changes.
