Introduction
Live streaming allows Fleet Managers to view live AI Dashcam video in their Fleet Dashboard remotely, in real-time.
Steps: Initiating a Live Stream
Prerequisites for Live Streaming
- The vehicle must have an AI Dashcam installed.
- The vehicle must be turned on.
- The vehicle must be in the range of a working cellular signal. The streaming video quality is dependent on the cell signal.
- The Vehicle Gateway has not exceeded the monthly data limit.
- The vehicle has the live stream feature enabled.
- The requester has explicit live streaming permissions.
Initiating a Live Stream on the Fleet Dashboard
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard. Click Fleet View from the left-hand side menu.
2. On the Fleet View, select a vehicle with a Dashcam to live stream the video.
3. The Live tab displays. Under the Cameras section, click Start Live Stream.

Note: The Driver will be notified when the live stream starts and ends. |
4. The Live stream screen displays. Once connected, you can view the Dashcam footage.
5. The Dashcam shows the road-facing view. To switch the Dashcam view, click Switch to Driver-facing camera.
Initiating a Live Stream on the Fleet App
1. Open the Motive Fleet App and go to the Fleet View. Tap the vehicle you want to live stream from.
2. On the vehicle details screen, scroll down to the Cameras section and tap to open it.
3. On the Cameras screen, tap Start live stream to initiate live streaming.
4. After a few seconds, the road-facing camera stream will appear.
5. To switch views, tap Switch to driver-facing camera.
6. The driver-facing stream appears. To exit the live stream, tap the X icon in the top-right corner.
