    Introduction

Motive allows Fleet Admins to control how the drivers are using motive cards. Fleet Admins can set and edit the spending limits from the fleet dashboard.

Steps: Customizing up Spending Controls for Motive Cards

    1. Log into Fleet Dashboard and click on Cards in the left-hand side menu.
    2. Click on the Cardholders tab.

Note: Cards with any controls already set have a green dot on them, and the others have a hollow dot.

You can also hover the mouse pointer over the green dot to see what controls are already in place for the said card.

    • The Time limit category allows you to control the time of the days, weeks, or even hours that the driver can use their cards.

    • Spend limit category allows you to control the amount they can use per day, week, month, or each billing period.

    • Spend categories allow you to control the types of purchases that the driver can make using the motive cards such as Fuel, Fleet Expense, and Travel Expense with subcategories allowing you to select the options of your choice.
Note: If the Fuel Station ( fuel pump and in-store) option is enabled, the driver is able to purchase anything that is in the store, apart from the fuel.

Now the drivers can only use the card for the categories that you allow them to based on the set dates and credit limit.
