Introduction
Motive allows Fleet Admins to enable Fraud Controls for cards at a fleet level as well as at an individual cardholder level. Enabling this feature locks the card, and cardholders need to send an SMS to Motive for unlocking the card before they swipe it for usage.

Fraud Controls feature helps Fleet Admins control their fleet cards’ usage and implement better security against fraud or misuse of Motive Cards.
Fraud Controls Overview
Fleet Admins can choose to enable the Fraud Controls feature from the Fleet dashboard. Once enabled, all Motive cards in the fleet would get locked automatically. Cardholders need to send the unlock pin (last four digits of their Motive Card) via SMS to Motive at (408) 645-7882 before swiping the card for usage. Once the cardholder's mobile number and pin are verified, the card gets unlocked, and a confirmation SMS is sent to the cardholder. They can then use their card for 30 minutes, after which the card is automatically locked again.
Note: The Fraud Controls feature is not enabled for the cardholders whose contact numbers are unavailable, and such cardholders can carry out transactions as earlier. Once the Admin provides the missing contact numbers, Motive locks the respective cards automatically. |
