Introduction
Motive now supports the British Imperial unit system across the Motive fleet dashboard, fleet app and driver app for more accurate day to day operations and reporting.
What’s New?
Users can customise the unit system across their fleet from the account settings. When British Imperial is selected, units appear as:
- Distance: miles
- Speed: mph
- Fuel efficiency: miles per UK gallon (MPG UK, 1 UK gallon = 4.54609 L)
- Fuel volume: litres
- Temperature: °C
- Weight: tonnes/kg
- Pressure: PSI
Existing fleets can now update their units to British Imperial units, while new fleets onboarded with the UK unit system will use British Imperial units by default. The selected unit system is applied consistently across Motive Fleet web, Fleet App, Driver App defaults, reports, and alerts, reducing mismatches between surfaces.
How does this help our customers?
- Accurate UK reporting: Updated metrics such as Fuel efficiency in MPG (UK), temperature in °C, weight in tonnes/kg, and volume in litres, matching UK regulatory and operational standards.
- Aligned with real‑world workflows: UK and many EU fleets can use the same mixed system they use on the road (miles, litres, °C, tonnes), reducing manual conversions or workarounds.
