Introduction
Motive Analytics now organises reports and dashboards into subject area categories, helping customers find relevant insights faster. Each item displays its categories, and customers can filter the list by category.
What’s New?
- Category labels: View categories directly on each report and dashboard in the Analytics > Browse list on Fleet Dashboard.
- Filter location: The category filter appears at the top of the Motive Analytics page and includes all categories, including “Others.”
- Category filtering: Filter reports and dashboards by one or more subject areas. The category filter also works with existing filters and search.
- Automatic categorisation: Custom reports and dashboards are categorised automatically based on the data they use. Reports and dashboards that cover multiple product areas can appear under each relevant category. Automatic categorisation keeps up to the top three categories by default.
- Multiple selections: Users can select one or more categories. When multiple category filters are selected, reports and dashboards that belong to all the selected categories will be displayed on the screen.
-
Combined filters: The category filter works with the report or dashboard created by and search filters. Results must match all active filter types.
- Filter count: The filter button displays the number of applied filters.
- Default view: When no category is selected, all items remain visible.
- Category order: When an item has multiple categories, its labels appear in alphabetical order.
How does this help our customers?
- Faster report discovery: Spend less time searching through the report and dashboard catalogue.
- Quicker access to insights: Find relevant reports and dashboards faster based on the subject area you need.
- Less manual work: Custom reports and dashboards are categorised automatically, so customers do not need to tag them manually.
