Introduction
In-product Release Announcements provide you with a dedicated place inside Motive to see what’s new. Instead of relying solely on emails or newsletters, you can now review recent product updates directly in the Notification Centre.
What’s New?
- A new notification type called Announcements is available in the Notification Centre.
- Each announcement includes a short title, a 1–2 sentence summary, and links to either a Help Centre article or the relevant Motive app surface.
- Announcements will only appear when there are updates that apply to your fleet, based on your role and the products you use.
How does this help our customers?
- Centralised view of product changes: See recent updates in one place, right where you already manage your operations.
- Fewer surprises: Get advance notice about changes to workflows, dashboards, and key features.
- Faster follow-up: Click directly from an announcement to the right page or Help Centre article for details, training, or next steps.

FAQs
Do I need to turn anything on?
No. If your account is eligible and an announcement applies to you, it will automatically appear in your Notification Centre.
Will this change how my existing alerts work?
No. Operational alerts (such as safety, compliance, or maintenance alerts) will continue to work as before. Announcements are an additional notification type focused on product updates and what’s new.
How long will announcements be visible?
Announcements will remain in the list for a limited time after a launch. Newer updates will move to the top, and older items may move down or no longer appear once they expire or are no longer relevant.
Where can I view announcements in Motive?
You can view announcements in the Notification Centre on both the Motive Dashboard (web) and the Motive Fleet App.
How do I access announcements on the Motive Dashboard?
Click the bell icon to open the Notification Centre.
Click any announcement to open the linked Help Centre article in a new tab.
How do I access announcements on the Motive Fleet App?
Open the app and tap the Notifications icon to open the Notification Centre.
Tap an announcement to open the linked Help Centre article in-app or in your mobile browser.
Why don’t I see all announcements?
You will only see announcements that are relevant to your role, region, and enabled products.
