Introduction
To better support fleets in the UK, Motive is removing North American-specific compliance modules (HOS, ELD, Cycle Rules) that do not apply to UK/EU regulatory requirements.
What’s New?
UK/EU fleet accounts will no longer see North American compliance artifacts across the platform. Specifically:
- Filters
- Duty Status/Type: On Duty, Off Duty, Driving, Waiting, Sleeper, Yard Move and/or Personal Conveyance filters will be removed.
- Time Tracking Methods: ELD & Electronic Logbook will be replaced with Timecard and Tachograph.
- Trip Assignment: Driver claimed, Interrupted, and Trip with pending approvals filters will be removed.
- Data
- Hours of Service: Break, drive, shift, cycle data will be removed.
- Regulation Mode: All data relating to a vehicle's regulation mode will be removed.
- Compliance Behaviors: HOS Violations and Form & Manner Errors data will be removed.
- Reports
- Compliance: All reports that fall within the compliance category.
- Other Reports: All other reports that contain compliance data.
- Marketplace
- Compliance: All apps/integrations that fall within the compliance category.
- Admin Settings
- Compliance: All current compliance settings relevant to North America (Regulation & Compliance Mode, Duty Status, DOT Authority, and Cycle Rules) will be removed.
- Driver App Data: Settings related to driver app data for AI trip assignments and AI driver identification.
- Data Retention for Compliance: Managing retention for US compliance data.
- Fleet User: Roles & Permissions related to US compliance logs.
- Alerts: All US compliance-related alerts (HOS alerts).
How does this help our customers?
- Eliminates regulatory confusion: UK/EU fleet managers and drivers will no longer encounter NA-specific terms like ELD, HOS, Cycle Rules, or DOT Inspection Mode.
- Reduces misconfiguration risk: By removing inapplicable settings and controls, there is no chance of UK/EU admins accidentally enabling or configuring North American compliance features.
