AI Dashcam Plus Lens Covers

Introduction

AI Dashcam Plus lens covers are removable accessories designed to physically block one or both camera lenses on AI Dashcam Plus (AIDC+). These lens covers provide a hardware-level solution to temporarily disable video capture without changing system‑wide settings or turning devices off. This helps fleets support driver privacy policies and special‑use scenarios where video recording is not allowed. For example, when a driver is sleeping in the cab or entering a location with strict privacy rules.

What’s New?

AI Dashcam Plus dual lens cover — This variant contains two lens covers in the box:

  1. Security cover to block both road-facing and driver-facing cameras for scenarios when no video should be recorded.
  1. Driver cover that blocks only the driver-facing camera to meet internal privacy policy standards.

AI Dashcam Plus road lens cover — This variant includes one removable cover that blocks only the road‑facing lens on AI Dashcam Plus. This cover is designed for scenarios when the driver needs to temporarily disable external video capture, such as in yards, private facilities, or locations where road‑facing footage is restricted.

How does this help our customers?

  • Support for privacy policies and regulations: By physically blocking the driver‑facing and/or road‑facing lenses, fleets can meet the internal privacy standards and local rules that restrict recording in specific situations.
  • Control over video capture: Lens covers give drivers and fleet managers a simple and highly visible way to disable video capture on demand, reducing ambiguity about when cameras are recording and reinforcing trust in privacy commitments.
  • Operational flexibility: Fleets can temporarily disable external video capture (with the road lens cover) or all video capture (with the dual lens cover) for specific routes, facilities, or customer contracts without changing system‑wide camera settings or creating complex configuration exceptions.
