Introduction
Limited Workforce Management (WFM) premium features are now available in the WFM Free Tier, starting with Driver License Management and AI-powered Document Capture. Organizations can simplify Driver Qualification (DQ) management by uploading driver licenses directly into WFM. Our AI-powered Document Capture automatically reads scanned licenses, extracts key information, and completes reviews in seconds, eliminating manual errors and accelerating compliance workflows.
These enhancements give fleets a hands-on way to experience some of the premium capabilities included in a full Workforce Management subscription before connecting with their Motive Account Team for an upgrade.
What’s New?
Experience for current Workforce Management customers
New experience adds guided onboarding and welcome videos that prompt WFM customers, who have not actively used key qualification features, to take actions such as adding drivers, uploading qualification documents, and configuring alerts so they can get the most value from their Workforce Management subscription.
Experience for non-Workforce Management customers
Non-WFM customers now get limited access to select premium features so they can experience WFM value before subscribing. When admins or managers open the WFM Hub in the Fleet Dashboard, they will be guided through:
- Adding a driver
- Uploading a driver’s license or enabling driver-initiated upload via a walkthrough
- Creating expiration alerts
- Requesting an upgrade directly from the Fleet Dashboard through the Benefits tab that presents a comparison of the Free tier vs paid WFM features.

- Guided onboarding for WFM customers: Existing WFM customers get a clearer path to value with in-product guidance that helps them start using the features already included in their subscription.
- Unlock more value for non-WFM customers: Non-WFM customers get hands-on time with select premium features so they can directly experience how WFM simplifies compliance and driver management before committing to a subscription.
- Less manual work: AI-powered document capture reduces manual data entry and back-office effort by automatically extracting key fields from driver licenses and tying them to driver profiles, helping streamline compliance and qualification workflows.
- Seamless upgrades: Non-WFM customers can easily request an upgrade directly from the WFM hub. Requests automatically reach the Motive Account Management team so they can quickly follow up and guide the customer through the next steps.
