Introduction
Motive Card is now available to Canada-incorporated fleets, with a fully bilingual (English/French) experience across the Fleet Dashboard and Driver App. It's a CAD-native card accepted anywhere Mastercard is, backed by the same granular spend controls, real-time transaction visibility, and telematics linked fraud protection that come from running spend management on the same platform as your telematics.
What’s New?
Canadian fleets can now apply for and use a Motive Card that is built for the Canadian market. Features supported at launch include:
- Universal card acceptance
- Spend controls
- Real-time control changes
- Mastercard fraud detection
- Receipt upload and reconciliation
- Group reporting and split invoicing
- Currency CAD native
| Note: Motive Card accounts are issued per legal entity, so a single entity cannot hold both a US and a Canadian account |

- CAD-native and bilingual: CAD throughout, with English and French across the Fleet Dashboard, Driver App, and Motive Support.
- Universal acceptance: Works at any fuel station, plus emergency and non-fuel merchants. It is not restricted to a single oil brand.
- One platform, less fraud: Fuel spend is tied back to telematics data, surfacing off-policy or fraudulent fill-ups (for example, jerry-can fills on a company card) that generic corporate credit cards miss.
- Granular, real-time spend controls: MCC- and transaction-level limits that admins can adjust on the fly.
- Visibility and reconciliation: Automated receipt capture, group-level reporting, and split invoicing by group.
