Alto Track Integration - Customer Onboarding Guide

Altotrack is a Chilean fleet security and monitoring provider serving the LATAM market. Its Sistema de Integración de Señales consolidates position and status signals from multiple GPS providers into a single operational view used for real-time monitoring, geofencing, route control, and incident response. Altotrack does not poll its data suppliers; instead it publishes an inbound signal-reception web service and requires each GPS provider to deliver records to it on a continuous basis, identified by a provider name and vehicle plate.

Key Benefits

  • Single pane of glass: Vehicle location and status feed straight into AltoTrack's control tower

  • No duplicate hardware or manual entry:  Motive's existing GPS data is forwarded via API, eliminating the need for a separate tracking device or manual status updates.

  • Real-time visibility: Position, speed, odometer, and event data (harsh braking, geofence entries, etc.) update continuously, supporting live shipment tracking.

  • Better last-mile and yard management: Consolidated visibility helps coordinate dock scheduling, yard movement, and delivery ETAs more accurately.

  • Cargo theft prevention: Continuous location and event monitoring supports faster detection of route deviations or suspicious stops.

  3. Conduct a scoping call: The PS team schedules a call with the customer to explain the integration, understand requirements, and confirm the implementation scope.
  4. Resolve dependencies: The customer provides the required information, access, and prerequisites needed to proceed with the integration.
  5. Configure the integration: The PS team configures the integration based on the agreed requirements.
  6. Perform end-to-end testing: The PS team and the customer conduct end-to-end testing to validate the integration and confirm that it works as expected.
  7. Obtain customer sign-off: After successful testing, the customer provides formal approval to proceed with the production deployment.
