Motive allows Fleet Admins to enable Mobile-Based Card Unlock feature for cards at a fleet level and toggle it at an individual cardholder level. Enabling this feature locks the card, and cardholders need to use the Motive Driver App or send an SMS to Motive for unlocking the card before they swipe it for usage, otherwise, transactions would get declined.

The Mobile-Based Card Unlock feature helps Fleet Admins control their fleet cards’ usage and implement better security against fraud or misuse of Motive Cards.
Mobile-Based Card Unlock Overview
Fleet Admins can choose to enable the Mobile-Based Card Unlock feature from the Fleet Dashboard. Once enabled, all Motive cards in the fleet would get locked automatically. If required, the Fleet Manager can disable the mobile-based card unlock feature for individual cardholders in the fleet using these steps.
