Introduction
Search by VIN in Universal Search enables fleet and safety managers to quickly locate vehicles using their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) directly from the Motive Fleet Dashboard.
What’s New?
VIN is now supported as a searchable attribute within Universal Search on the web dashboard.
- VIN-based vehicle search: Fleet and safety managers can enter a full or partial VIN in the Universal Search bar to quickly find matching vehicles.
- Enhanced search results: Matching vehicles appear alongside existing identifiers such as vehicle ID and make, model, and year, making it clear which one to select.
- Direct navigation to vehicle details: Selecting a search result takes users directly to the vehicle’s live page, maintaining the existing workflow.
- Accessible from Universal Search: VIN search is available in the Universal Search bar located in the Fleet Dashboard.
