Introduction
Scheduled Services enhance Motive’s maintenance management by allowing fleets to trigger service reminders based on multiple conditions, such as mileage, time, and engine hours, ensuring maintenance aligns with actual vehicle usage.
What’s New?
Scheduled Services removes the limitation of single-condition triggers and introduces a more adaptable scheduling model, along with updates to the Maintenance hub experience.
- Multi-condition maintenance triggers: Schedules can now be configured using a combination of miles, days, and engine hours. The schedule triggers when the first condition is met.
- Improved scheduling accuracy: Fleets can account for different vehicle usage patterns, preventing early or delayed maintenance.
- Combined services view: The Services tab now consolidates tracking and upcoming service information into a single view.
- Admin-only schedule setup: Service schedule creation, editing, and vehicle assignment have moved to the Admin dashboard (Admin > Maintenance > Schedules). Day-to-day tracking and completing services remains in the Fleet Dashboard under Maintenance > Services. Maintenance Schedule permission is required to create or save schedules and is enabled by the Admin dashboard by your fleet admins. Fleet Managers cannot open the Admin panel by default.
How does this help our customers?
Scheduled Services helps fleets manage maintenance more efficiently and reduce operational risk.
- Optimised maintenance planning: Vehicles are serviced based on real-world usage rather than a single static threshold.
- Lower operational costs: Prevents unnecessary servicing and reduces wasted labour and parts.
- Reduced manual tracking: Eliminates the need for fleets to monitor multiple maintenance parameters manually.
- Improved vehicle reliability: Timely maintenance helps reduce breakdowns and safety-related issues.
