Solution
Understanding Notifications on Android
1. Log in to the Motive Driver App.
2. Push notifications are displayed on the Driver's Log System (DLS) for all apps except Motive.
3. In the Motive Driver app settings, drivers can enable the Read notifications during Drive/Inspection Modes setting, which is off by default.
4. When the Read notifications during Drive/Inspection Modes setting is enabled, Motive notifications for dispatch, messages, and HOS violations are read aloud using text-to-speech (TTS), promoting hands-free operations. Other Motive notifications are neither displayed nor read aloud on the DLS.
Drivers can also enable the Play Button Queue in the Motive Driver app settings. This allows them to control when TTS notifications are read aloud, allowing them to listen at their convenience rather than immediately.
.
Understanding Notifications on iOS
1. Push notifications are displayed on the DLS for all apps, including Motive.
2. There is no option to enable audible notifications for Motive notifications on iOS at this time.
