Motive Cards offer multiple types of rebates, including partner rebates (cents-off discounts at fuel stations), company-level rebates (cashback), and promotional rebates. Fleets can now control which rebates are visible to drivers.
Overview
By default, all rebates are combined into a single savings number shown to drivers. The Rebate Visibility setting gives Fleet Admins control over which rebates are shown to drivers. With this setting, you choose one of three visibility modes at the company level, and that choice is enforced consistently across the Driver App.
| Note: This setting controls visibility only. It does not change how rebates are calculated or applied to your billing. All rebate types continue to be earned and reflected on invoices and billing summaries regardless of the selected mode. |
Changing the Rebate Visibility Setting
- Log in to the Motive Fleet Dashboard and go to Admin > Cards > Settings.
- Scroll down to Rebate visibility to drivers and click Edit.

Visibility in Driver App
After updating the setting, you can confirm the change by reviewing a recent fuel transaction in the Driver App. Depending on the visibility the driver’s screen will display
If partner rebates + organization are enabled:
- Transaction Details:
- Savings finder
- Driver Notification
FAQs
Can I set different visibility modes for different drivers or cards?
Not at this time. The Rebate Visibility setting applies at the company level and affects all drivers and cards under your account.
Does this affect transaction CSV exports or spend summary reports?
Existing transaction CSV exports and spend summary reports are not affected by the Rebate Visibility setting at this time.
Will the Savings Finder and Fuel Stop Recommendations in the Driver App also respect this setting?
Yes. All driver-facing rebate and savings surfaces, including Savings Finder and Fuel Stop Recommendations reflect the configured visibility mode so that drivers do not see rebate types that have been hidden.
