How Do I Switch to Another Company?

To switch to another company and transfer your ELD usage, your current Motive account must first be deactivated. Once deactivated, you can create a new account and connect it to your new company.

Overview

When a driver moves to a new company, their existing account cannot be reassigned. Instead, a new account must be created and linked to the new company.

Switch to Another Company

  1. Deactivate your current account
    Contact your Fleet Admin or Dispatcher to deactivate your account with your current company.

    • Alternatively, contact Motive Support  at (855) 434-3564 for assistance.

  2. Create a new account
    After deactivation, sign up for a new Driver account and connect it to your new company.

Note: Your previous logs remain your property. Even after account deactivation, you can request Support to send your logs from the past six months to your preferred email address.

Note: 

A single email address can only be associated with one account at a time. If needed, you may:

  • Use a different email address, or

  • Request Support to release your email from the previous account
