Integration Benefits
- Allows carriers to provide verification of their fleet equipment.
- Carriers can use Highway to sign in to portals and load boards to get faster access to freight.
- They also identify who's hauling your freight to reduce fraud and supercharge your digital bookings.

| Note: This integration is free of cost for the carriers and requires no setup from any side. |
This is a 1-way integration that is integrated from the Motive App Marketplace.
1. Click Get this App.
2. As the integration is built on OAuth, it doesn’t involve the API support team to authenticate the installation and doesn’t need to share a private API key.

FAQs
Highway doesn’t see my equipment (vehicles/assets), even though the integration with Motive is active. What should I check?
If your Motive–Highway integration is connected but Highway isn’t showing your equipment, the most common cause is that Highway is not yet receiving identified driving data for your vehicles from Motive.
To fix this, check the following:
-
Confirm the Motive–Highway integration is connected
- In the Motive Fleet Dashboard, open the App Marketplace, find Highway, and verify that the app shows as installed/connected.
- If it’s disconnected, reconnect it using the steps in the Highway integration article.
-
Claim Unidentified Driving so Highway can see valid trips
- If the Vehicle Gateway has been installed and is moving, but no driver has claimed those trips, Motive will show them as Unidentified Driving.
- When trips remain unidentified, Highway may not associate that activity with your equipment and may show no units.
- Have a driver or fleet admin claim the relevant unidentified trips for the vehicle you expect to see in Highway (using the standard Unidentified Driving workflow in Motive).
-
Generate fresh, identified driving data
- After trips are claimed and the driver is correctly logged in, have them drive with the Vehicle Gateway connected for at least 20 minutes.
- This ensures that Motive sends recent, properly identified driving data to Highway, allowing Highway to detect and display the equipment again.
-
If equipment is still missing
- Verify that each affected truck is properly set up in Motive (as a Vehicle with an assigned Vehicle Gateway) and is active.
- If the above checks don’t resolve it, Contact Motive Support and/or Highway Support with:
- Your company name
- The affected vehicle IDs
- Approximate date/time of recent trips
