Introduction
As fleets continue to grow and expand, there is an increasing need for a more robust and efficient system to manage employee growth and turnover. A scalable solution is required to handle user creation, deletion, and changes in details within Motive, in alignment with a centralized source of information, such as an Identity Provider (e.g., Okta or Azure AD).

Motive's Directory Sync feature simplifies the IT Admin experience by automating user provisioning processes.
- It automatically creates and updates fleet users and drivers in Motive as changes are made in the identity provider.
- This automation helps avoid discrepancies between systems.
- It eliminates the need to manually manage user changes across two separate software systems.
