Viewing the list of in-progress dispatches
- In the Fleet Dashboard go to Dispatches > In-Progress.
- View all current orders and dispatches.
Use filters to narrow results by Drivers and Dispatch Status.
Viewing order details
Click the three dots on the desired dispatch and click View Dispatch Details…
- See complete job information, including Dispatch Details, Route Details, Pickup, Delivery, Status, and Activity.
Follow each step of the order in sequence to understand its progress.
Reviewing driver-submitted updates
1. Scroll to the Stops section in the order details.
2. View notes, photos, signatures, and any issues submitted by the driver.
3. Use these updates to verify pickups, deliveries, or delays.
Tracking load progress in real time
1. Within dispatch details, check the status of each stop: Completed, in progress, or pending.
2. View progress bars or status icons for a quick overview of the job’s completion.
3. Use this view to update customers and prepare for upcoming steps.
Monitoring vehicle location
1. Open Map View from the dispatch details page.
2. Track the real-time location of the assigned vehicle.
3. Monitor route history, detect delays, and view estimated arrival times.
Sharing tracking information
To provide live updates to customers or third parties:
1. Open the dispatch details page.
2. Click Share to open the Dispatch Map.
3. Click the share icon and enter an Email or click Copy in Share URL Directly.

Viewing Dispatch History
When a dispatch has been completed, it is stored in the Dispatch History section. The dispatches are listed by most recent based on the last update. We store all completed dispatches for you until you log out. If you log out and log back in, we will fetch the last 14 days of dispatch history.
Log in to the Motive Driver App and tap the Menu icon.
Tap Dispatches.
Tap Completed dispatches.
From the Completed Dispatches screen, select any dispatch you want to see the history for.
The Dispatch Details screen shows all the information related to the selected dispatch.
Viewing the Dispatch Report
- In the Fleet Dashboard, go to Reports > Dispatch.
Click Dispatch Report.
Use filters such as date, driver, or route to narrow results.
Review the data or export it for offline analysis.
Viewing completed Dispatch Stops Report
- In the Fleet Dashboard, go to Reports > Dispatch.
Click Completed Dispatch Stops Report.
- Filter by date, stop status, or driver as needed.
Export the report to review or share insights with your team.

How often is dispatch tracking information updated?
Dispatch and vehicle data are updated in real time, so you always see the latest status and location.
Can I filter dispatches by driver or vehicle?
Yes, use the filter options in the In-Progress tab to sort by driver, vehicle, order status, and more.
Who can access the shared tracking link?
Anyone with the link—inside or outside your organization—can view real-time updates and ETAs for that dispatch.
How do I know if a stop is completed?
Stops are marked as completed in the order details. You can also review any associated notes, photos, or signatures.
Can I export dispatch data?
Yes. You can export dispatch lists or details from the Motive Dashboard for records or reporting.
What happens if a stop is missed or delayed?
The stop will be flagged in the dashboard, allowing you to take immediate action to resolve the issue.
