Introduction
The Granular Card Management Permissions feature enables fleets to replace a single bundled card‑management permission with easy-to-navigate and action‑level permissions.
What’s New?
The Motive Fleet Dashboard will show or hide actions based on the permissions assigned (including sections like Card Management, Cards, Orders, Transactions, My Card, and Audit Logs visibility).
New capabilities help with :
- Setting policy controls: Users with the appropriate card permissions can change card policies, create or edit temporary overrides, and manage security controls. This provides tighter operational control for fleets that require stricter, auditable role-based access.
- Reduce risk with least-privilege access: Granular permissions enable fleets to grant only the exact actions needed per role, such as activating, reassigning, or deactivating physical cards, reducing operational and security risk.
How does this help our customers?
- Role-based access: Fleets can only assign the necessary actions for required roles, and can hide the unnecessary actions for unauthorized users.
