Introduction
Managing your drivers has been enhanced to provide a more consistent and actionable experience across the Motive platform. These improvements give fleet and safety managers greater visibility into driver information and make it easier to identify, verify, and manage driver associations directly from key pages within the Fleet Dashboard.
What’s New?
This update introduces enhancements to the way you view and interact with the Driver Name and Driver ID fields across Motive, making driver information more accessible and contextual across the platform.
Key Improvements:
- Hover-over tooltips: Hovering over a driver’s name shows the pairing method and the driver’s image if available. For unidentified drivers, it indicates that no driver has been identified.
- Contextual actions: Clicking a driver’s name now opens a contextual menu displaying the driver’s image and relevant quick actions based on where the user is in the dashboard. For example, View Driver Safety Profile in the Safety view and Follow Driver Live in the Fleet view.
- Assign or reassign drivers: Users can assign or reassign drivers directly from the contextual menu. Selecting this option opens the relevant trip for assignment, addressing a longstanding request.
- Unified experience: The workflow provides consistent driver information and actionability wherever a driver’s name appears on Fleet, Safety, and Fuel screens.
