FMT SmartFill Integration with Motive

SmartFill (Gen 3) is a rugged, on-site fuel management system made by FMT (Fluid Management Technology) that controls and tracks who fuels vehicles or equipment, how much, and when, identifying drivers and vehicles at the pump via PINs, NFC fobs, iButtons, HID or swipe cards (or optional SmartTag vehicle ID), while allowing fueling to be restricted by time window or by daily, monthly, or lifetime volume limits.

This integration syncs completed fuel-dispensing transactions from FMT (Fluid Management Technology) SmartFill units into Motive, recording them as Fuel Purchase entries. This gives fleet managers a consolidated view for accurate reporting.

Requirements

  •  Valid API Key for the FMT SmartFill platform. (provided by the customer)
  • Date Range to set the scheduler. 

Integration steps on Motive

This integration is powered by API Keys.

Note: Click the Install button on the FMT SmartFill app on the Motive marketplace.

If you are on the Motive Fleet dashboard, take the following steps:

  1. On the left-menu, click Marketplace.
  2. Search for FMT SmartFill in the search bar.

  3. Click Learn More on the Alto Track tile from the search results.

  4. Click Install.

    Our support team will receive a case and reach out to you to confirm the creation of an API key. 

  5. Share the API key with your POC from FMT SmartFill.
