Introduction
This article explains how to use the new feature update to prevent mistaken card assignments and the resulting frustration. It enables Fleet Admins to rectify assignment errors promptly and efficiently, ensuring smooth card management processes.
Note: This article applies to both Driver and Vehicle cards. |
Steps: Reassigning Motive Card from Fleet Dashboard
Reassigning an Active or Locked Card
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click the Admin icon at the bottom left corner.
2. Click the Products dropdown menu from the left-hand side menu.
3. Click Cards.
4. Click the Card Management tab.
5. Choose any card with Active or Locked status indicated under the Status column that you want to reassign. Click on the three dots on the right side.
6. Select Reassign card from the dropdown menu.
7. A dialog box appears on the screen.
8. Choose whether to reassign the card to a Driver or Vehicle.
9. Select the specific Driver or Vehicle accordingly.
10. Select the Spend profile option based on your preference.
11. Select the Reason for reassigning from the dropdown.
12. Click Assign.
13. A green confirmation message appears on the top of the screen. The card is reassigned successfully.
14. When you hover over the previous assignee from Assigned to column, a tooltip appears with details. It includes the reason for reassignment, the person who performed it, and the reassignment date.
Assigning a previously Unassigned Card
1. Follow steps 1 through 4 in the Reassigning an Active or Locked Card section.
2. Select the previously unassigned card as indicated by the Status column.
3. Click the three dots on the right side.
4. Select Assign card.
5. Then, follow steps 7 to 13 as shown in the above section.
Important: Additional Security Measures for Reassigning Cards
When a Motive card is reassigned to a new driver or vehicle, Motive disables all online and card-on-file transactions against the card. This is done to ensure customers are protected against potential fraud from previous cardholders who have access to sensitive information about the card like Card Number, CVV, and expiry month.
