Introduction
Motive is introducing self-coaching with training videos, a new feature designed to streamline the Driver coaching process by automatically assigning training videos in response to specific safety events. This feature empowers Drivers to self-coach and improve their performance without requiring a manager-led coaching session.
Self-Coaching with Training Videos Overview
-
What’s New?
- When events like cell phone usage, speeding, close following, or stop sign violations occur, Motive automatically assigns a relevant training video. These videos are easily accessible through the Driver App, allowing Drivers to review and learn how to prevent similar behaviors. More targeted videos for other behaviors will follow.
- Fleet managers can enable training videos and self-coaching behaviors within Coaching Settings to customize the experience based on their fleet’s specific needs.
- Fleet Managers choose which behaviors Drivers can self-coach. Events are automatically marked as coached once reviewed, reducing the coaching workload.
-
How does this feature help users?
- Reduced workload for coaches: Allows coaches to focus on more critical safety events while lower-priority behaviors are addressed through self-coaching.
- Improved Driver performance: Drivers receive immediate feedback and resources to self-correct risky behaviors.
- Increased efficiency: Automates parts of the coaching process, saving time and resources.
- Consistent coaching for fleet: Provide standardized, fleet-wide training to reinforce safer driving habits.
