Introduction
Motive now allows Fleet Admins to enable fuel theft prevention measures even when vehicle gateway (VG) data is unreliable or unavailable at the time of transaction. This helps protect against fraud while giving drivers a way to quickly resolve flagged transactions.
What’s New?
Fleet Admins can now enable a new setting: “Require cardholder to authorize attempted purchase and retry” to allow cardholders to confirm they are attempting the transaction when telematics data (such as Vehicle Location or Fuel Level) is unavailable or unreliable. Driver receives SMS, App, and Email notification to authorize and re-attempt the transaction.
When enabled, the cardholder receives an SMS, a Driver App notification, and an email to verify the transaction attempt.
How does this help our customers?
This feature adds a safety net for fleets with auto-decline rules by providing control without fully blocking drivers when telematics data is stale.
Rollout Plan or Feature Go-Live date?
This feature is available on the latest version of the Driver App (version v90), downloadable from the App Store and Google Play.
Feature Launch Date: 7/9/2025
