Fuel Theft Prevention When Vehicle Gateway Data is Unreliable

Audience Fleet Admins, Fleet Managers
Applies To Motive Cards

Introduction

Motive now allows Fleet Admins to enable fuel theft prevention measures even when vehicle gateway (VG) data is unreliable or unavailable at the time of transaction. This helps protect against fraud while giving drivers a way to quickly resolve flagged transactions.

What’s New?

Fleet Admins can now enable a new setting: “Require cardholder to authorize attempted purchase and retry” to allow cardholders to confirm they are attempting the transaction when telematics data (such as Vehicle Location or Fuel Level) is unavailable or unreliable. Driver receives SMS, App, and Email notification to authorize and re-attempt the transaction.
