Answer
- The Motive AI Omnicam comes with three types of wires that are differentiated by their colors mentioned below:
Black
- The thin black wire is called the ground wire, it’s exposed at the end of the thick black cable.
- If the thick black cable is trimmed more than 8 inches, you can see two unshielded copper wires that must be twisted together to work as one ground wire.
Red
- The thin red wire is the 12 V / 24 V current wire.
- If the thin red wire is trimmed more than 8 inches, you can see two red wires that must be twisted together to work as one 12V / 24 V wire.
Blue
- The blue-wrapped cable consists of two braided wires that should never be exposed or used directly.
- If this cable is trimmed more than 8 inches, you can see the blue, green, yellow, and orange wires.
Note: Don’t use the exposed blue, green, yellow, and orange wires for direct connection. The device can short/stop working if any of these wires are exposed. |
