Introduction
Speeding events don’t generate automatic video footage, like the Safety Events on Motive Fleet Dashboard. This, however, is being addressed by allowing for Fleet Admins to easily extract video footage from Safety Events using Motive’s video footage request process.
Steps: Viewing/requesting videos for Speeding Events
Requesting videos for Speeding Events
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and select Safety from the left-hand side menu.
2. Select the Speeding tab.
3. Choose the Speeding Event you want to request video for.
4. A black banner on top of the map thumbnail displays Video is available for the event. Request Video. Click Request Video.
5. The Request Video screen displays with pre-filled information on the Vehicle, Date, timestamp, and a 1 min default selection on the video type.
6. Click Request Video in the bottom-right corner.
Viewing Requested videos for Speeding Events
Once requested, the Safety Event video is available under Requests on the Safety Hub. The requesting Fleet Manager receives an email in their inbox to get notified on the status of their request.
- Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Safety in the left-hand side menu.
- Select the Requests tab.
- Or click View in Dashboard in the email.
- Click any of the videos ready to download to view their respective detail page.
- On the detailed page, Fleets can view the recalled video for the Speeding Event with the speed of the Driver displayed at the top left corner of the video.
